MESSAGE FROM THE COMMISSIONER
Sorry
for the huge delay guys and I hope everyone had great holidays, now we
will get going with the playoffs starting with the Wild Card Round. I
have the new files ready to go on the main page of the website (right in
the middle, not the current league file which is the regular season).
Any questions, please let me know asap, otherwise get rolling on those
games and good luck to all!
Playoff preview for the NFC – New England has the bye and gets a week
off. NY Giants are hosting Philadelphia who snuck in on the last week of
the season and while that is a great thing for the Eagles, due to the
Giants overall talent, their stay in the post season will be short. New
Orleans hosts Carolina and while the Saints appear to be the better
team, Carolina’s offense can sometimes steal a win and this might be a
closer game than expected. Kansas City hosts Arizona for the final game
and the Cards struggles at QB may make this tough against a good KC
defense.
Playoff preview for the AFC – Denver earned the bye and will get to rest
up some injuries. San Francisco finished strong to be the second seed
and they will host Tennessee and while this looks to be a Niners win,
that third division game can always be tough and these guys really know
each other, so an upset wouldn’t be the biggest surprise. Pittsburgh
slid a bit late and have Minnesota coming to town, probably the hottest
team in the conference, and the Vikings will look to stay healthy while
the beat up Steelers will hope their defense can get it done one more
time or it will be a short post season for them. Probably the biggest
toss up game in the Wild Card round is Green Bay hosting Buffalo as they
finished with the same record and split the season series, this one
could go either way and the coach that makes the right moves will likely
move on to the division round.
I
have sent out the yearly ballot prop email, see that for information on
any rule changes you think we need to entertain.
Awards voting will begin tomorrow, hopefully, and I will post the link
as soon as I create the ballot.
The
draft lottery order is set at this point, and we will do that once we
get closer to the Super Bowl. Here is the order pre-lottery:
1
Miami
2
Indianapolis
3
Tampa Bay
4
Jacksonville
5
Detroit
9
Seattle
11
Dallas
12
Chicago
13
Cleveland
14 LA
Chargers
Please make sure to get started on game contacts asap and don’t forget
to CC me on all of them so I can make sure games are getting set up
smoothly. If you need a sub, feel free to find your own sub or contact
me asap so we can try and get you hooked up with someone to get your
game in. Make sure you have
the latest action update which is available on the website.
Game files are up for Wild Card Weekend, so make sure you go
download them and start making contact for the wild card games. If you
have any questions, now is the time, so please ask before we get too far
into things.
I
can’t stress enough that you need to IMMEDIATELY send me your game
export when the game is complete.
Send your write up later on, that’s fine, but I MUST have the
game export as soon as the game ends or I’ll have to sim the game to
keep things moving along if it is missing at the deadline.
Reminder that you MUST send a boxscore and writeup to the league after
each game. The home team is
responsible for this, but either team can do it, as long as it does get
done. Also, you MUST send me
the game export immediately after the game is complete.
It takes about 30 seconds, so I shouldn’t have to chase you down
for that file after a game, just get it in right away so I don’t have to
guess whether a game has happened or not.

season. Pittsburgh hosts Minnesota in a matchup that hasn’t happened in
a long time with both teams having injury/usage issues and Green Bay
will host Buffalo in another division matchup looking to see who can
break the tie between the two.
Coming up in the NFC New England has earned the bye in round 1, while NY
Giants are the first 15-2 team in ISFL history to actually have to play
a game in round 1 as they host Philadelphia who squeaked into the
playoffs on the final day. New Orleans gets a division matchup with
Carolina while Kansas City hosts Arizona in the fight to get out of the
wild card round.
