MESSAGE FROM THE COMMISSIONER
And
then there were 2. Carolina and Denver both sit at 7-0 but they get
tough tests this week with New England and Pittsburgh respectively and
who knows who might still be there at the top a week from now. First
bigger trade of the regular season as Ja’Marr Chase finds a new home
moving to Pittsburgh with Jordan Addison heading to the Big Apple along
with some future draft picks. Trade deadline is just 3 weeks away, so
interesting to see if we see more or if things are quiet like the
deadline last year was. Just so everyone knows, Don Antonelli is going
to be taking the rest of the season off and we will be using subs to
cover the Tampa Bay games the rest of the way as Don tries to recharge
and hopefully return next year as he is one of our longest standing
coaches. We will be going week by week with the subs as I want everyone
to get as many chances to sub as they want to rather than having one guy
just do them all. Good luck to all and let’s keep up the good work with
the game contacts.
Please make sure to get started on game contacts asap and don’t forget
to CC me on all of them so I can make sure games are getting set up
smoothly. Let’s see if we
can hit the first week deadline with all games played head to head and
as always if you need help let us know.
If you need a sub, feel free to find your own sub or contact me
asap so we can try and get you hooked up with someone to get your game
in. Make sure you have the
latest action update which is available on the website.
Game files are up for the start of the regular season, so make
sure you go download them and start making contact for week 8 games. If
you have any questions, now is the time, so please ask before we get too
far into things.
I
can’t stress enough that you need to IMMEDIATELY send me your game
export when the game is complete.
Send your write up later on, that’s fine, but I MUST have the
game export as soon as the game ends or I’ll have to sim the game to
keep things moving along if it is missing at the deadline.
Reminder that you MUST send a boxscore and writeup to the league after
each game. The home team is
responsible for this, but either team can do it, as long as it does get
done. Also, you MUST send me
the game export immediately after the game is complete.
It takes about 30 seconds, so I shouldn’t have to chase you down
for that file after a game, just get it in right away so I don’t have to
guess whether a game has happened or not.

News from Around the League
In the AFC, Denver downs division rival Buffalo to stay undefeated and
Green Bay beats previously unbeaten Seattle to stay 2 games back.
Pittsburgh keeps LA Chargers winless and Indianapolis stops Cleveland to
stay even on top of the Central. LA Rams squeak by Houston and Chicago
takes care of Miami. San Francisco beats Dallas and Tennessee falls to
Carolina to create a three way tie atop the West at 3-4. Minnesota stays
a game back as they beat Tampa Bay and NY Jets lose the battle of New
York to the Giants.
In the NFC, Carolina takes down Tennessee and New Orleans handles
Detroit to stay 1-2 in the West. Seattle takes their first loss at Green
Bay and Jacksonville beats up Atlanta to move within 2 games of the top
of the East. New England shuts out Kansas City and Arizona swamps
Philadelphia to stay in the hunt out West. NY Giants get their second
win over the team they share a stadium with in the Jets and Miami falls
to Chicago. Houston loses a close one to LA Rams and Tampa Bay does the
same against Minnesota.
Coming up in the AFC, Denver heads to Pittsburgh in a huge matchup for
both teams at the top of the conference and Indianapolis hosts Green Bay
in a game that is only slightly less important (and would have otherwise
been the game of the week most any other time). LA Rams host division
rival Chicago and Cleveland heads to San Francisco. Tennessee travels to
Arizona and Dallas hosts Philadelphia as they all fight it out for the
top of the West. LA Chargers again try for win #1 as they host Minnesota
and Chase-less NY Jets host division rival Buffalo who try to not fall
out of the playoff race.
Coming up in the NFC, Carolina gets a visit from a tough New England
squad and New Orleans is off to Miami as the fight for the West
continues. Seattle tries to get back to winning with division rival
Detroit in town and Jacksonville heads to the NY Giants. Atlanta gets a
visit from Tampa Bay and Arizona hosts Tennessee. Houston and Kansas
City both fight for win #2 and Philadelphia heads to Dallas trying to
stay in the playoff race.
