MESSAGE FROM
THE COMMISSIONER
Final block of
the season is here and there is still a lot to be decided in the
playoff races. In the Prince of Wales, Washington and Arizona are in
the playoffs in the Horton while is in good shape for the #3 slot.
In the Howe NY Rangers have a big lead and could clinch the
division soon, while Chicago and Carolina are both in and fighting it
out for home ice more than likely thought the Isles may have something
to say about that as they sit in the #1 wild card spot just 6 points
back of the Canes. Buffalo
is in the #2 wild card position, 5 points up on Philly and 6 on the
Devils, so any of those 3 teams could still claim the final spot and
likely face the Rangers in round 1. St. Louis and Detroit are
officially off to the golf course and fight for draft position. In the
Campbell Conference, Dallas and Montreal are neck and neck for the Orr
division lead and San Jose has clinched the #3 seed and wait to see
who they will face.
Pittsburgh has a big lead in the Lemieux and likely will clinch that
soon, while Florida and Vancouver battle it out for home ice in the
2/3 slots. Colorado is the
#1 wild card right now with a 9 point lead on Boston who sits in the
#2 wild card but have Calgary, Edmonton and Toronto all within 4
points and breathing down their necks for the final playoff spot. Los
Angeles is mathematically alive, but just barely and currently hold
the top spot in the lottery.
Block 10 is
ready to begin, rosters moves have been made and the updated league
file and Excel file are on the website.
Remember that all injuries this year are coaches decisions BUT
all players are limited to the exact number of NHL games from last
year, so plan accordingly.
If you are sending the same lineup for all 10 games then just a
regular coach should work. If you want to set specific lineups for
each game, then you need to use the Daily Lineups as it gives you a
lot more flexibility. As soon as you have your coach set for your
first 5 road games, please send that out to the list (and list who the
coach is for so it is easier for teams to keep the ones they need).
Also, I would ask you PLEASE include your 5 home strats as well
both for your sake and mine as if I have to sim your home games for
any reason I will just let the game set up your strat if none is
defined and you will have to deal with any penalties later on.
I am going to start using the
strat file page and upload everyones coaches to the website like I did
in the past so they are easy to find when needed.
**** IMPORTANT
- Action PC Game File Update dated 1/24/2022.
You need
to send out game exports as well as boxscores for all 5 home games by
the second Sunday of the block at 9 pm This is MANDATORY, both the
exports AND boxscores please.
Game summaries are nice, even if it’s just one quick
comment for all 5 games, just adds to the league and makes it
easier for everyone to see what is going on.
If I do not receive game exports after
sending updates on Saturday and Sunday, I will send one more
request directly about an hour before the
deadline on Sunday.
Unless I get a request for an extension of time, I will wait
til the deadline and about 30 minutes later I will sim games so I can
get new files out before I go to bed Sunday night.
