MESSAGE FROM
THE COMMISSIONER
Just 18 games
left to play in the season and the playoff races are in full swing.
In the Prince of Wales no one has clinched, though the Rangers
need just 2 points to lock their playoff spot up.
Washington, Chicago and Carolina look like they could clinch in
block 9 and Arizona, Anaheim and NY Islanders are all in good shape.
Buffalo holds down the final playoff spot with a 6 point lead
on Philly and 8 points on New Jersey with only St. Louis and Detroit
looking to be totally out of the race.
In the Campbell Conference things are a bit different as
Montreal, Dallas and Pittsburgh have all clinched playoff spots and
the Pens have a large division lead as well.
San Jose, Florida and Vancouver should clinch pretty easily
this block and Colorado has a 10 point lead on 9th place.
Right now Boston sits in the 8th spot, but Toronto,
Edmonton and Calgary area all within 4 points and could still make a
push while Los Angeles appears to be the only team ready to head to
the golf course.
Block 9 is
ready to begin, rosters moves have been made and the updated league
file and Excel file are on the website.
Remember that all injuries this year are coaches decisions BUT
all players are limited to the exact number of NHL games from last
year, so plan accordingly.
If you are sending the same lineup for all 8 games then just a regular
coach should work. If you want to set specific lineups for each game,
then you need to use the Daily Lineups as it gives you a lot more
flexibility. As soon as you have your coach set for your first 4 road
games, please send that out to the list (and list who the coach is for
so it is easier for teams to keep the ones they need).
Also, I would ask you PLEASE include your 4 home strats as well
both for your sake and mine as if I have to sim your home games for
any reason I will just let the game set up your strat if none is
defined and you will have to deal with any penalties later on.
I am going to start using the
strat file page and upload everyones coaches to the website like I did
in the past so they are easy to find when needed.
**** IMPORTANT
- Action PC Game File Update dated 1/24/2022.
You
need to send out game exports as well as boxscores for all 4 home
games by the second Sunday of the block at 9 pm This is MANDATORY,
both the exports AND boxscores please.
Game summaries are nice, even if it’s just one
quick comment for all 4 games, just adds to
the league and makes it easier for \everyone
to see what is going on.
If I do not receive game exports after
sending updates on Saturday and Sunday, I will send one more
request directly about an hour before the
deadline on Sunday.
Unless I get a request for an extension of
time, I will wait til the deadline and about 30 minutes later I
will sim games so I can get new files out before I go to bed
Sunday night.
