MESSAGE FROM
THE COMMISSIONER
And with a big
10 game block we come to the end of our 21st season with
the playoff races for positioning coming down to the final day.
Congratulations to the teams who are in the playoffs and for
those who did not make the cut thank you for another great season.
Please stick around as we have a few things left to get done
before we take some time off for the summer and as always I hope that
everyone plans to be back for next season!
Good luck in the playoffs or the lottery (which will come in a
few weeks) and as we finish up everyone enjoy their summer!
In the Prince
of Wales conference the NY Rangers pulled away late to take the
conference #1 position and home ice through the entire playoffs.
NY Islanders finish second in the Howe and will host Chicago in
round 1. Carolina finishes fourth and just behind Buffalo in overall
points so will face the Rangers in round 1.
St. Louis finishes just ahead of the Flyers and will host
Buffalo in round 1.
Philadelphia will host Anaheim in the other series in the Horton.
In the
Campbell Conference Toronto holds on for the top spot in the
conference and will face the lowest wild card left and not a team from
their division. Montreal
just stays ahead of Dallas and will host the Stars in round 1.
Florida wins the Lemieux and will get the top wild card team
left. Pittsburgh just
edges out Colorado for home ice in their series.
Edmonton gets a win at the end and gets the prize of facing
Florida while Calgary gets Toronto in round 1 (yeah, great price :O).
We have some
regular season awards to hand out as well, congratulations to the
players/teams who were at the top of the league and we will get into
the individual awards voting soon.

Files are up
for end of season, look for playoff files in the next newsletter later
in the week after I get a look at usage and set up the postseason.
Please get the new files and get started on coaches which are due
Wednesday night. Remember
that all injuries this year are coaches decisions BUT all players are
limited to the exact number of NHL games from last year, so plan
accordingly. If you are
sending the same lineup for all 8 games then just a regular coach
should work. If you want to set specific lineups for each game, then
you need to use the Daily Lineups as it gives you a lot more
flexibility. As soon as you have your coach set for your 5 road games,
please send that out to the list (and list who the coach is for so it
is easier for teams to keep the ones they need).
Also, I would ask you PLEASE include your 5 home strats as well
both for your sake and mine as if I have to sim your home games for
any reason I will just let the game set up your strat if none is
defined and you will have to deal with any penalties later on.
I am going to start using the
strat file page and upload everyones coaches to the website like I did
in the past so they are easy to find when needed.
**** IMPORTANT
- Action PC Game File Update dated 11/19/2020.
You
need to send out game exports as well as boxscores for all 5 home
games by the second Sunday of the block at 9 pm This is MANDATORY,
both the exports AND boxscores please.
Game summaries are nice, even if it’s just one
quick
comment for all 4 games, just adds to the league and makes
it easier for everyone to see what is going on.
If I do not receive game exports after
sending updates on Saturday and Sunday, I will send one more
request directly about an hour before the deadline on Sunday.
Unless I get a request for an
extension of time, I will wait til the deadline and about 30
minutes later I will sim games so I can get new files out before I go
to bed Sunday night.
