MESSAGE FROM
THE COMMISSIONER
Not a ton of
mystery left in the playoff races with 4 teams in the East already in
and 6 teams out West locked in the playoffs.
In the Prince of Wales, St. Louis and Philly are in at the top
of the Horton and fighting for the top spot with Anaheim 17 points
clear of the 9th place team and likely in as well.
Buffalo sits in the top wild card spot and has an 11 point lead
on 9th so a .500 block gets them in.
NY Rangers and NY Islanders are at the top of the Howe and
fighting for the top spot and the #1 overall in the conference.
Chicago is 14 points clear of 9th place and likely
in the playoffs while Carolina is wild card #2 and have an 8 point
lead on New Jersey and 9 points on Washington and Arizona who are
alive but have a lot of work to do.
In the Clarence Campbell Toronto leads the way and have
clinched their division and hold a 6 point lead on Florida for #1
overall. Montreal and
Dallas are in the playoffs and fighting for home ice against each
other. Florida has nearly
clinched the Lemieux with a 17 point lead on Colorado who is more
likely fighting with Pittsburgh for home ice in their series for round
1. Calgary and Edmonton
are sitting in the two wild card slots, 2 points apart, and only San
Jose has a realistic of catching either of them as they sit 7 points
back of 8th place.
Detroit, Boston and LA are fighting for the #1 overall draft
slot in the lottery and Vancouver is closer to them than being in the
playoffs.
Files are up
for Block 10 and don’t forget we play 5 games this block home and
away. Please get the new files and get started on coaches which are
due Wednesday night.
Remember that all injuries this year are coaches decisions BUT all
players are limited to the exact number of NHL games from last year,
so plan accordingly. If
you are sending the same lineup for all 8 games then just a regular
coach should work. If you want to set specific lineups for each game,
then you need to use the Daily Lineups as it gives you a lot more
flexibility. As soon as you have your coach set for your 5 road games,
please send that out to the list (and list who the coach is for so it
is easier for teams to keep the ones they need).
Also, I would ask you PLEASE include your 5 home strats as well
both for your sake and mine as if I have to sim your home games for
any reason I will just let the game set up your strat if none is
defined and you will have to deal with any penalties later on.
I am going to start using the
strat file page and upload everyones coaches to the website like I did
in the past so they are easy to find when needed.
**** IMPORTANT
- Action PC Game File Update dated 11/19/2020.
You
need to send out game exports as well as boxscores for all 5 home
games by the second Sunday of the block at 9 pm This is MANDATORY,
both the exports AND boxscores please.
Game summaries are nice, even if it’s just one
quick
comment for all 4 games, just adds to the league and makes
it easier for everyone to see what is going on.
If I do not receive game exports after
sending updates on Saturday and Sunday, I will send one more
request directly about an hour before the deadline on Sunday.
Unless I get a request for an
extension of time, I will wait til the deadline and about 30
minutes later I will sim games so I can get new files out before I go
to bed Sunday night.
