MESSAGE FROM
THE COMMISSIONER
The trade
deadline has come and gone and the moves were fast and furious with
many contenders adding pieces and one team remaking their whole
roster. With all of the roster moves, now everyone’s attention will
turn to the playoff races as we decide who the top 8 teams in each
conference will be. Just 26
games left over 3 blocks and there are a few
teams who look set for the playoffs while there are some races
both for positions and for wild card spots further down and those will
start to take shape over the next 8 games. Good luck to all the rest
of the way and get those coaches out on time please!
Files are up
for Block 8, please get them and get started on coaches which are due
Wednesday night. Remember
that all injuries this year are coaches decisions BUT all players are
limited to the exact number of NHL games from last year, so plan
accordingly. If you are
sending the same lineup for all 8 games then just a regular coach
should work. If you want to set specific lineups for each game, then
you need to use the Daily Lineups as it gives you a lot more
flexibility. As soon as you have your coach set for your first 4 road
games, please send that out to the list (and list who the coach is for
so it is easier for teams to keep the ones they need).
Also, I would ask you PLEASE include your 4 home strats as well
both for your sake and mine as if I have to sim your home games for
any reason I will just let the game set up your strat if none is
defined and you will have to deal with any penalties later on.
I am going to start using the
strat file page and upload everyones coaches to the website like I did
in the past so they are easy to find when needed.
**** IMPORTANT
- Action PC Game File Update dated 11/19/2020.
You need to
send out game exports as well as boxscores for all 4 home
games
by the second Sunday of the block at 9 pm This is
MANDATORY, both the exports
AND boxscores please.
Game summaries are nice, even if it’s just one quick
comment for all 4 games, just adds to the league and makes
it easier for
everyone to see what is going on.
If I do not receive game exports after
sending
updates on Saturday and Sunday, I will send one more request
directly
about an hour before the deadline on Sunday.
Unless I get a request for an
extension of time, I
will wait til the deadline and about 30 minutes later I
will sim games so I can get new files out before I go to bed
Sunday night.
