MESSAGE FROM THE COMMISSIONER

Congratulations to Mike McMillan and the Florida Panthers and their second RHL Cup win.  The Panthers won the Commissioners Cup by 1 point over Edmonton and then proceeded to back that up with 16 playoff wins to take home the big prize.  Other than a game 2 blowout where the Panthers could do no wrong, the Detroit Red Wings and Jean Marois made this a tough, tight series, taking a pair of games at home after falling down 2-0, then losing a tough game 5 at Florida, 4-3 and then coming back home and take the Panthers to OT only to again fall by that same 4-3 score as the Wings continue to look for the elusive first RHL Cup win.

Thanks guys for a great season despite some early hiccups, glad things actually dragged out a bit as it gave us all something to do while we were stuck at home the last few months.  Ballot discussion (if we have any) and awards voting will end tomorrow and I will put the final touches on the 2019-2020 season with a final newsletter sometime in the next week. We will now just wait to see what Action is going to do with the weird goings on of the NHL this season and when they can get us a new game to start our 21st season for the league.  Right now everyone has said they will be back next year (or hasn’t said they wouldn’t) which would be nice as we have a great group of active owners (well except for Pittsburgh which I will work on filling over the summer). If you change your mind, please let me know sooner rather than later so I can get a jump on filling spots before the new game may get released. Thanks again and I hope everyone finds a way to enjoy their summer.

With the season nearing the end, it is time for those who are out of the playoffs to start thinking about the offseason.

First of all, if anyone does not plan to return, please let me know as soon as you can so we can fill our openings before the offseason begins if possible.

Second we are currently taking ballot proposals but I have none so far, remember that I would like to see them in by Sunday, June 14th so I can get the ballot put together for final voting.

Finally we will have the season awards voting is ongoing and you can cast your vote at this link https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/LZ56X9M

Until they finish the NHL season, we will likely be on hold as to when next season can begin and how Action PC will handle it now that they aren’t going to finish the regular season.

Please guys, you have to make sure you import coaches before you are playing games. Many of you are not and those are showing up as guys are being over or underplayed. I don’t want to have to impose penalties but it isn’t fair to your opponents if you aren’t doing this one thing before playing your games. Also at a minimum you need to be adding boxscores to your game reports.  I don’t need .flm files or game exports, just the box that you save at the end of the game please.

There is a final playoff file for the finals which you will need to download and then unzip into a new folder called RHL1920-Playoffs and then switch to that season in the game and you should be all set.  If you are sending the same lineup for all 7 games then just a regular coach should work. If you want to set specific lineups for each game, then you need to use the Daily Lineups as it gives you a lot more flexibility. As soon as you have your coach set for your road games, please send that out to the.

**** IMPORTANT  - Action PC Game File Update dated 03/06/2020.

You need to send out game exports as well as boxscores for all home games
as soon as the games are played. This is MANDATORY, both the exports
AND boxscores please.   Game summaries are nice, even if it’s just one quick
comment for all games, just adds to the league and makes it easier for
everyone to see what is going on.
