THE COMMISSIONER
And we are on
to block 10 with just 10 games left to play and all divisional
matchups which should decide many playoff races.
Please guys, let’s try and get all of the games in by the
deadline in two weeks so we can get right on to the playoffs and other
offseason items we will need to address.
Good luck to all and here is a playoff race update for anyone
who is interested.
In the Prince
of Wales conference Detroit has clinched the Howe division with a 23
point lead on second playoff New Jersey who holds a one point lead on
NY Islanders for home ice in round 1.
In the Horton Philadelphia leads Anaheim by 3 points while
Washington is 8 points back in third place with a 3 point lead on
Buffalo who sits in the first wild card spot.
Arizona is 5 points back in the second wild card spot but
Chicago and Carolina sit just one point back of them and St. Louis is
3 points out of the playoffs so a LOT can happen over this final 10
games. NY Rangers are 8 points out but with having to pass 4 teams
they would pretty well have to win out to get there.
In the
Campbell Conference Florida leads the Lemieux with 114 points but only
are up on Edmonton by 3 points for the division and top spot in the
conference. Colorado and
Vancouver are tied for the third playoff spot with the other holding
the #1 wild card slot.
Pittsburgh is in the second wild card spot but just by 1 point over
Boston who can still get in there or by moving into third in the Orr
where they are just 2 points behind Toronto in third.
Dallas leads Montreal by 7 points but both appear to be playoff
teams with Toronto 9 points back of the Canadiens.
Please guys,
you have to make sure you import coaches before you are playing games.
Many of you are not and those are showing up as guys are being over or
underplayed. I don’t want to have to impose penalties but it isn’t
fair to your opponents if you aren’t doing this one thing before
playing your games. Also at a minimum you need to be adding boxscores
to your game reports. I
don’t need .flm files or game exports, just the box that you save at
the end of the game please.
Block 10 is
all set and the updated league file and Excel file is on the website.
Remember that all injuries this year are coaches decisions BUT
all players are limited to the exact number of NHL games from last
year, so plan accordingly.
If you are sending the same lineup for all 10 games then just a
regular coach should work. If you want to set specific lineups for
each game, then you need to use the Daily Lineups as it gives you a
lot more flexibility.As soon as you have your coach set for your 5
road games, please send that out to the list (and list who the coach
is for so it is easier for teams to keep the ones they need).
Also, I would ask you PLEASE include your 5 home strats as well
both for your sake and mine as if I have to sim your home games for
any reason I will just let the game set up your strat if none is
defined and you will have to deal with any penalties later on.
I am going to start using the
strat file page and upload everyones coaches to the website like I did
in the past so they are easy to find when needed.
**** IMPORTANT
- Action PC Game File Update dated 03/06/2020.
You need to
send out game exports as well as boxscores for all 5 home games
by
the second Sunday of the block at 9 pm This is MANDATORY, both the
exports
AND boxscores please.
Game summaries are nice, even if it’s just one quick
comment for all 5 games, just adds to the league and makes it easier
for
everyone to see what is going on.
If I do not receive game exports after
sending updates on
Saturday and Sunday, I will send one more request directly
about
an hour before the deadline on Sunday.
Unless I get a request for an
extension of time, I will
wait til the deadline and about 30 minutes later I
will sim games
so I can get new files out before I go to bed Sunday night.
