THE COMMISSIONER
Block 8 is
complete, please guys, try and get games in on time, it makes it tough
for me to get stuff out on schedule if I don’t have everyones results.
Also, going forward if you do not have a new strat one day after the
deadline I have set for that block, please contact me and if I can’t
get a new strat for you within 24 hours I will give you the go ahead
to play against what is already in the game.
Too many late coaches and with the way the game is set up there
is really no reason for it so please, get your coaches out on time.
Also, start looking at your usage and make sure you are remembering to
import coaches before you play games as this is becoming a rather
large problem and it could cause overuse for opponents which I
definitely frown on.
Playoff races
are starting to get interesting with just 18 games left to play.
In the Prince of Wales Philadephia has a 8 point lead in the
Horton on Washington with Anaheim 3 points back in 3rd
place while in the Howe Detroit has about wrapped it up with a 26
point lead over New Jersey in second place while Chicago is just 2
points back in 3rd. NY Islanders hold the first wild card
with 68 points, St. Louis the second with 67 points but Buffalo at 67
and Carolina and Arizona at 66 are all still in the hunt. The Rangers
are trying to make a run as they are within 9 points of the playoffs
but likely will run out of games. In the Campbell Conference Florida
leads the Lemieux by three points over Edmonton and Colorado is 33
points back in third place.
Dallas leads the Orr by 6 points over Montreal and Toronto is
well back in third place with a 6 point lead on Boston.
Pittsburgh holds wild card #1 with 62 points and Vancouver is
#2 with 61 points. Boston is 7 points out of the wild card, Los
Angeles is 9 points and San Jose 11 points with all needing to make a
move soon while Calgary is the only team in the league with almost no
chance for the playoffs at 43 points and looking to wrap up the #1
spot in the lottery soon.
Please guys, you have to make sure
you import coaches before you are playing games. Many of you are not
and those are showing up as guys are being over or underplayed. I
don’t want to have to impose penalties but it isn’t fair to your
opponents if you aren’t doing this one thing before playing your
games. Also at a minimum you need to be adding boxscores to your game
reports. I don’t need .flm
files or game exports, just the box that you save at the end of the
game please.
Block 9 is all
set and the updated league file and Excel file is on the website.
Remember that all injuries this year are coaches decisions BUT
all players are limited to the exact number of NHL games from last
year, so plan accordingly.
If you are sending the same lineup for all 8 games then just a regular
coach should work. If you want to set specific lineups for each game,
then you need to use the Daily Lineups as it gives you a lot more
flexibility.As soon as you have your coach set for your 4 road games,
please send that out to the list (and list who the coach is for so it
is easier for teams to keep the ones they need).
Also, I would ask you PLEASE include your 4 home strats as well
both for your sake and mine as if I have to sim your home games for
any reason I will just let the game set up your strat if none is
defined and you will have to deal with any penalties later on.
I am going to start using the
strat file page and upload everyones coaches to the website like I did
in the past so they are easy to find when needed.
**** IMPORTANT
- Action PC Game File Update dated 03/06/2020.
You need to
send out game exports as well as boxscores for all 4 home
games
by the second Sunday of the block at 9 pm This is
MANDATORY, both the exports
AND boxscores please.
Game summaries are nice, even if it’s just one quick
comment for all 4 games, just adds to the league and makes
it easier for
everyone to see what is going on.
If I do not receive game exports after
sending
updates on Saturday and Sunday, I will send one more request
directly
about an hour before the deadline on Sunday.
Unless I get a request for an
extension of time, I
will wait til the deadline and about 30 minutes later I
will sim games so I can get new files out before I go to bed
Sunday night.
