MESSAGE FROM
THE COMMISSIONER
Block 7 is
complete with a very quiet trade deadline day as no big names move and
only a few minor tweaks are made. We now move on to the playoff races
and there are a ton of teams still in the hunt with 3 blocks left to
play, look for full updates on the races in the next newsletter as we
will be down to just 18 games at that point and things should start to
shape up. Quickly Philly and Washington sit atop the Horton with
Anaheim in 3rd and Buffalo in the #1 wild card.
Detroit has pulled far away in the Howe and Chicago is second
with NJ and NYI tied for 3rd.
Everyone else is still in the hunt for the wildcard through the
Rangers have a huge mountain to climb.
Dallas pulled away from Toronto in the Orr with a 10 point lead
and Montreal is a point back of the Leafs in third.
Edmonton and Florida are in a dead heat in the Lemieux with
Colorado a distant third and then Pittsburgh and Vancouver holding
down the wildcards. LA,
Boston and SJ are alive but need to make a move quickly and Calgary is
19 points out of the playoffs and appear to be dead in the water.
Please guys,
you have to make sure you import coaches before you are playing games.
Many of you are not and those are showing up as guys are being over or
underplayed. I don’t want to have to impose penalties but it isn’t
fair to your opponents if you aren’t doing this one thing before
playing your games. Also at a minimum you need to be adding boxscores
to your game reports. I
don’t need .flm files or game exports, just the box that you save at
the end of the game please.
Block 8 is all
set and the updated league file and Excel file is on the website.
Remember that all injuries this year are coaches decisions BUT
all players are limited to the exact number of NHL games from last
year, so plan accordingly.
If you are sending the same lineup for all 8 games then just a regular
coach should work. If you want to set specific lineups for each game,
then you need to use the Daily Lineups as it gives you a lot more
flexibility.As soon as you have your coach set for your 4 road games,
please send that out to the list (and list who the coach is for so it
is easier for teams to keep the ones they need).
Also, I would ask you PLEASE include your 4 home strats as well
both for your sake and mine as if I have to sim your home games for
any reason I will just let the game set up your strat if none is
defined and you will have to deal with any penalties later on.
I am going to start using the
strat file page and upload everyones coaches to the website like I did
in the past so they are easy to find when needed.
**** IMPORTANT
- Action PC Game File Update dated 03/06/2020.
You
need to send out game exports as well as boxscores for all 4 home
games by the second Sunday of the block at 9 pm This is MANDATORY,
both the exports AND boxscores please.
Game summaries are nice, even if it’s just one
quick
comment for all 4 games, just adds to the league and makes
it easier for everyone to see what is going on.
If I do not receive game exports after
sending updates on Saturday and Sunday, I will send one more
request directly about an hour before the deadline on Sunday.
Unless I get a request for an
extension of time, I will wait til the deadline and about 30
minutes later I will sim games so I can get
new files out before I go to bed Sunday night.
