MESSAGE FROM
THE COMMISSIONER
Block 6 is in
the books. Guys, please get your coaches out on time and get your
games reported on time.
Too many are coming in after the deadline and it would be nice to keep
things on schedule the rest of the way so do your best to conform to
the deadlines as they are set.
Playoff races are starting to heat up and with the trade
deadline two weeks away we may start to see who are the real
contenders and who the pretenders are that are going to sell at the
final bell. In the POW,
the Horton is 11 points top to bottom with everyone still in the hunt
while in the Howe Detroit has a big lead and then 4 teams within 8
points with only the Rangers looking to be too far out to catch up.
In the CC, Dallas holds a slim lead in the Orr but everyone
else is still well in the race while the Lemieux has Edmonton and
Florida tied on top and everyone else a distant third while Calgary
appears head for the golf course early.
Don’t forget
that the trade deadline is the end of this block, Sunday March 16th
at 10 pm eastern, so make sure I have both sides of any trades
confirmed by that time so they will get added to the next blocks
files.
Block 7 is all
set and the updated league file and Excel file is on the website.
Remember that all injuries this year are coaches decisions BUT
all players are limited to the exact number of NHL games from last
year, so plan accordingly.
If you are sending the same lineup for all 8 games then just a regular
coach should work. If you want to set specific lineups for each game,
then you need to use the Daily Lineups as it gives you a lot more
flexibility.As soon as you have your coach set for your 4 road games,
please send that out to the list (and list who the coach is for so it
is easier for teams to keep the ones they need).
Also, I would ask you PLEASE include your 4 home strats as well
both for your sake and mine as if I have to sim your home games for
any reason I will just let the game set up your strat if none is
defined and you will have to deal with any penalties later on.
I am going to start using the
strat file page and upload everyones coaches to the website like I did
in the past so they are easy to find when needed.
**** IMPORTANT
- Action PC Game File Update dated 01/17/2020.
You need to
send out game exports as well as boxscores for all 4 home
games
by the second Sunday of the block at 9 pm This is
MANDATORY, both the exports
AND boxscores please.
Game summaries are nice, even if it’s just one quick
comment for all 4 games, just adds to the league and makes
it easier for
everyone to see what is going on.
If I do not receive game exports after
sending
updates on Saturday and Sunday, I will send one more request
directly
about an hour before the deadline on Sunday.
Unless I get a request for an
extension of time, I
will wait til the deadline and about 30 minutes later I
will sim games so I can get new files out before I go to bed
Sunday night.
