MESSAGE FROM
THE COMMISSIONER
Block 9 is
finished and the playoff races are coming to an end with some suspense
in one conference and very little in the other.
In the Campbell conference 5 teams are clinched, Vancouver and
Boston are close, and Florida has an 8 point lead for the final wild
card slot, so not a lot going on here except jockeying for position.
The Prince of Wales is much more interesting as Buffalo comes
from 10 points back to just 2 points out of the final playoff slot to
stay alive and New Jersey is just 5 points out.
Philly is close to taking the Horton and Detroit and NY Rangers
are fighting for the top of the Howe while St. Louis, Phoenix and NY
Islanders are all in good position.
Chicago and Carolina sit in 7th and 8th
two points up but with tough games in the division ahead.
Thanks to everyone for working to get strats and games in on
time I rely on you guys to help me keep things rolling.
No one overused this block, which is great, but since things
are in such good shape, there is ZERO excuse to overuse anyone in the
final block as the game will show you when creating your strat how
many games each player has left. Please doublecheck your strats before
you send them to be sure everyone isn’t set for too many games.
Block 10 is a normal 2 week block so let’s get going on strats
right away. Good luck to

Block 10 is
ready and the updated league file is on the website.
Remember to plan for your correct injury games each block and
you need to put out a strat for all 4 road games by Wednesday night
and please when you send them, put the teams they are for either in
the subject or the body of the email so teams can quickly see if they
need them. Also, I would
ask you PLEASE include your 4 home strats as well both for your sake
and mine as if I have to sim your home games for any reason I will
just let the game set up your strat if none is defined and you will
have to deal with any penalties later on.
You need to
send out game exports as well as boxscores for all 4 home games by the
second Sunday of the block at 9 pm This is MANDATORY, both the exports
AND boxscores please.
Game summaries are nice, even if it’s just one quick comment
for all 4 games, just adds to the league and makes it easier for
everyone to see what is going on.
If I do not receive game exports after sending updates on
Saturday and Sunday, I will send one more request directly about an
hour before the deadline on Sunday.
Unless I get a request for an extension of time, I will wait
til the deadline and about 30 minutes later I will sim games so I can
get new files out before I go to bed Sunday night.
