MESSAGE FROM
THE COMMISSIONER
We have a big time final set with the two top
teams from the regular season set to square off with the NY Islanders
from the Prince of Wales taking on the San Jose Sharks from the
Campbell. Seven games to decide who the next RHL Cup Champion is and
this should be a good one with both teams sporting good defense and
goaltending. Can the Islanders offense solve the Sharks goaltending
who have been the difference all season long. And can San Jose find a
way to get their offense rolling against an equally tough defensive
opponent. Whoever can solve the goaltending puzzle will be the team
who takes home this years Cup.
I am slacking
a big on getting stuff done for the end of the season, just crazy busy
and also have a football draft I am running, but this weekend I will
get the awards ballot up as well as seeing where we are on the ballot
props so we can start thinking about next season. I will also get the
draft order put together so I can post that in the final newsletter as
well once we find out who the winner is. If anyone is planning on NOT
returning next year, please let me know as soon as you can. Even if
you are just considering it, that is good info to have as well so I
know if I should be looking for some replacements. Thanks guys, let’s
finish this off strong now! Good luck all the final two!

Matchups – RHL Cup Finals
NY Islanders
at San Jose Sharks
PLAYOFF USAGE LIMITS FOR SKATERS:
1) 60 or more NHL games can
play all playoff games (per series)
2) 55-59 NHL games 6 playoff games
3) 50-54 NHL games 5 playoff games
4) 40-49 NHL games 4 playoff games
5) 30-39 NHL games 3 playoff games
6) 20-29 NHL games 2 playoff games
7) 10-19 NHL games 1 playoff game
PLAYOFF USAGE LIMITS FOR GOALTENDERS
Goalies with 1-14 games may only dress as backups
Goalies with 15-19 games may only start 1 game per series (but may
dress as backups in all other games)
Goalies with 20-24 games may only start 2 games per series (but may
dress as backups in all other games)
Goalies with 25-29 games may only start 3 games per series (but may
dress as backups in all other games)
Goalies with 30+ games may start all playoff games in a series (or may
be dressed as a backup)
Injury backups may only play if the
computer pulls the starter due to an injury OR the team is down by 4
or more goals at any time in the game (a mercy rule basically). The
second part may be accomplished by a computer setting for road games
that is defined as a team being down by 4 or more goals OR by a home
coach making this decision when his team is down by 4 or more goals.
Once a goalie has made his maximum allowable starts he must follow
all rules for Injury backups as stated above.
Block 10 is in
the books and the regular season is complete. Round 3 files are ready
on the website. Usage is based upon the list above as well as any
penalties for regular season overuse which is listed below, 1 game
missed does not cause a penalty, anything more than that will be shown
below:
SJS - Backlund - 3 games – will miss
games 1-2 in all rounds

- Action PC Game File Update dated 03/10/2026.
You need to send out game exports as well as boxscores for all home
games
by the second Sunday of the block at 9 pm This is MANDATORY,
both the exports
AND boxscores please.
Game summaries are nice, even if it’s just one quick
comment for all 4 games, just adds to the league and makes it easier
for
everyone to see what is going on.
If I do not receive game exports after
sending updates on
Saturday and Sunday, I will send one more request directly
about
an hour before the deadline on Sunday.
Unless I get a request for an
extension of time, I will
wait til the deadline and about 30 minutes later I
will sim games
so I can get new files out before I go to bed Sunday night.
