MESSAGE FROM
THE COMMISSIONER
St. Louis pulls the biggest upset so far with
a 6 game win over Philadelphia and they now going into a matchup with
the top seeded NY Islanders who had to use 7 games to get past wild
card Detroit. SJS has similar problems with Toronto but prevails in 7
games, while Florida pulls a mild upset over Vancouver and will try
and stop the Sharks from getting to the RHL Cup Finals. Just an fyi, I
am going to be away from Friday, June 5th until Tuesday
June 9th, so have adjusted the schedule accordingly to take
that into account and the fact we are starting round 3 a few days
late. If both series finish before I leave, I will of course get files
out for the finals, but do what works best for you all and good luck
in the Conference Finals!
In the
Campbell Conference this time it is Toronto that takes San Jose to the
limit, with the Sharks needing a game 7 to advance. Meanwhile Florida
loses game 1 in Vancouver but then never loses another game to win
their series 4 games to 1 and they now get to try and stop San Jose
from moving to the RHL Cup Finals.
In the Prince
of Wales Conference NY Islanders needs all 7 games to take down wild
card Detroit with the final 5 games all going to OT and NY having to
win the final 3 games to move onto the Conference Finals. On the other
side, Philly and St Louis go to OT in the first 4 games of their
series and are tied at 2, but the Blues get a huge road win in game 5
over the Flyers and then finish things up on home ice in game 6 to
move on to take NY Islanders for the right to play for the RHL Cup.

PLAYOFF USAGE LIMITS FOR SKATERS:
1) 60 or more NHL games can
play all playoff games (per series)
2) 55-59 NHL games 6 playoff games
3) 50-54 NHL games 5 playoff games
4) 40-49 NHL games 4 playoff games
5) 30-39 NHL games 3 playoff games
6) 20-29 NHL games 2 playoff games
7) 10-19 NHL games 1 playoff game
PLAYOFF USAGE LIMITS FOR GOALTENDERS
Goalies with 1-14 games may only dress as backups
Goalies with 15-19 games may only start 1 game per series (but may
dress as backups in all other games)
Goalies with 20-24 games may only start 2 games per series (but may
dress as backups in all other games)
Goalies with 25-29 games may only start 3 games per series (but may
dress as backups in all other games)
Goalies with 30+ games may start all playoff games in a series (or may
be dressed as a backup)
Injury backups may only play if the
computer pulls the starter due to an injury OR the team is down by 4
or more goals at any time in the game (a mercy rule basically). The
second part may be accomplished by a computer setting for road games
that is defined as a team being down by 4 or more goals OR by a home
coach making this decision when his team is down by 4 or more goals.
Once a goalie has made his maximum allowable starts he must follow
all rules for Injury backups as stated above.
Block 10 is in
the books and the regular season is complete. Round 3 files are ready
on the website. Usage is based upon the list above as well as any
penalties for regular season overuse which is listed below, 1 game
missed does not cause a penalty, anything more than that will be shown
below:
SJS - Backlund - 3 games – will miss
games 1-2 in all rounds

- Action PC Game File Update dated 03/10/2026.
You need to send out game exports as well as boxscores for all home
games by the second Sunday of the block at 9 pm This is MANDATORY,
both the exports AND boxscores please.
Game summaries are nice, even if it’s just one quick comment
for all 4 games, just adds to the league and makes it easier for
everyone to see what is going on.
If I do not receive game exports after sending updates on
Saturday and Sunday, I will send one more request directly about an
hour before the deadline on Sunday.
Unless I get a request for an extension of time, I will wait
til the deadline and about 30 minutes later I will sim games so I can
get new files out before I go to bed Sunday night.
