MESSAGE FROM
THE COMMISSIONER
No real big upsets as the wild card teams all
get sent home in round 1 as all 4 top seeds move on. In the Campbell
we get a pair of 1 vs 2 matchups, while in the POW we have upsets from
both 3 seeds and they will try to pull that off again in round 2. I
will be away again the weekend games are due, so look for new files on
Monday (which is a holiday here) when I get back. Good luck to all in
the Round 2!
In the
Campbell Conference Calgary gives San Jose a scare, but the Sharks
continue on and will face Toronto who needed all 7 games in the series
to advance but did so convincingly in the 7th game with a
7-3 win. Vancouver bulldozed through Colorado in 4 straight games
while Edmonton gave their nemesis’ in Florida some headaches forcing
the series to 6 games where they lose a 1 goal game after winning the
previous one in Florida. That leaves the top 4 teams in the conference
still alive as the Sharks host the Leafs and the Canucks get home ice
against the Panthers, the opposite of last season.
In the Prince
of Wales Conference NY Islanders win 4 tight games but still sweep
Buffalo and Detroit pulls the mild upset over the NY Rangers to move
on. Jersey pushes Philadelphia to 6 games but the Flyers win it on the
road while St. Louis pulls the upset over Utah though all were pretty
close games. This sets up a pair of 1 seed vs 3 seed matchups as the
Islanders hosts the Red Wings and the Blues travel to the Flyers with
both 3 seeds truly needing an upset to move on.

PLAYOFF USAGE LIMITS FOR SKATERS:
1) 60 or more NHL games can
play all playoff games (per series)
2) 55-59 NHL games 6 playoff games
3) 50-54 NHL games 5 playoff games
4) 40-49 NHL games 4 playoff games
5) 30-39 NHL games 3 playoff games
6) 20-29 NHL games 2 playoff games
7) 10-19 NHL games 1 playoff game
PLAYOFF USAGE LIMITS FOR GOALTENDERS
Goalies with 1-14 games may only dress as backups
Goalies with 15-19 games may only start 1 game per series (but may
dress as backups in all other games)
Goalies with 20-24 games may only start 2 games per series (but may
dress as backups in all other games)
Goalies with 25-29 games may only start 3 games per series (but may
dress as backups in all other games)
Goalies with 30+ games may start all playoff games in a series (or may
be dressed as a backup)
Injury backups may only play if the
computer pulls the starter due to an injury OR the team is down by 4
or more goals at any time in the game (a mercy rule basically). The
second part may be accomplished by a computer setting for road games
that is defined as a team being down by 4 or more goals OR by a home
coach making this decision when his team is down by 4 or more goals.
Once a goalie has made his maximum allowable starts he must follow
all rules for Injury backups as stated above.
Block 10 is in
the books and the regular season is complete. Round 1 files are ready
on the website. Usage is based upon the list above as well as any
penalties for regular season overuse which is listed below, 1 game
missed does not cause a penalty, anything more than that will be shown
below:
SJS - Backlund - 3 games – will miss
games 1-2 in all rounds

- Action PC Game File Update dated 03/10/2026.
You need to send out game exports as well as boxscores for all home
games by the second Sunday of the block at 9 pm This is MANDATORY,
both the exports AND boxscores please.
Game summaries are nice, even if it’s just one quick comment
for all 4 games, just adds to the league and makes it easier for
everyone to see what is going on.
If I do not receive game exports after sending updates on
Saturday and Sunday, I will send one more request directly about an
hour before the deadline on Sunday.
Unless I get a request for an extension of time, I will wait
til the deadline and about 30 minutes later I will sim games so I can
get new files out before I go to bed Sunday night.
