MESSAGE FROM THE COMMISSIONER
All games were in on time which is always a huge help to me and especially this weekend. Playoff races are coming down to the wire and a lot can still change over these final 10 games. Please, watch your usage and injuries very carefully the rest of the season and good luck!
Files are up and ready to go for block 10, please get them and get strats out by Wednesday night and if possible don’t make me chase you for them! Two more players overused this block and the final block is always the toughest one as even a little mistake during the season can see a guy overused by 1 game. There is ZERO excuse for anyone to overuse a player this block as the game makes it easy to track. When making your strat the game will tell you exactly how many games each guy has left, so please double check and if you catch something, make sure it gets fixed so we don’t have anymore guys overused. Please keep a close eye on things, it is important guys and I hate having to dish out penalties at the end of the year when the game makes it pretty easy to track this now.
10 games to go and the two conferences are still very different. In the Prince of Wales all but one playoff spot is locked up and one win by St. Louis or a loss by Washington will lock in the 8 teams. Buffalo looks to be in good shape to win the Horton and at the moment would face the NY Rangers in round 1. Anaheim has a small lead on St. Louis and would host them. NY Islanders lead Jersey by 3 points for the top spot in the Howe and currently would match up with Carolina while Detroit would head to New Jersey. With just 15 points between first and 8th in the conference a lot could change with 10 games to go. Chicago, Philadelphia and Phoenix are all out of the playoffs while the Caps remain on life support.
The Campbell Conference still has the final spot up for grabs with Florida and Pittsburgh in a dead heat. Toronto leads the Orr by 3 points over Dallas and would host San Jose in round 1 while Dallas would have Boston coming to town, though that could still all shuffle in the final 10 games. Vancouver also has a 3 point lead in the Lemieux over Edmonton with Calgary just two more back. The Canucks would host Florida/Pittsburgh, while Edmonton gets home ice against Calgary, but again, this could all still change with a lot of points still up for grabs. Everyone is technically still alive, but Los Angeles is out 8 points from a playoff slot and Montreal and Colorado are all but dead.
