GMBL REPORTING PROCEDURES

SETTING UP COMPUTER MANAGERS

Step #1 Setup your computer manager how you would like it (we ARE using SuperHal this season).
Step #2 Select your team, click on Team in the menu at the top and then click on Export Computer Manager.   Save the file as your teams 3 letter designation, follwed by the current month plus .mgr (i.e. NYAapril.mgr) in a place where you can find it.
Step #3 Create an email to the league mailing list (GMBL@
yahoogroupds.com) and attach the file to it then send it out.  Please CC me on any of these, that way I can keep track of who's sending what.

SERIES REPORTING INSTRUCTIONS

Guys, these instructions must be followed to the letter.  That includes naming zip files and boxscores correctly.  Also, when saving boxscores I need the boxscore, PAC and scoresheet (all three) in case we ever have any problems we can recreate games from this.  All zip files will be sent to your league president, your opponent and myself.  I will check each one as I get it and if there are any mistakes I'll send them right back, so please follow the instructions when doing them.

Also, I do not want you waiting till two minutes before the deadline to send me the files, unless that is when you finish the games.  I will know when they are completed and will be less than pleased with anyone who does this, moreso if there is a problem with the files.  So, let's all take our time and if we have a problem, please make sure that you contact Todd, Mike or myself and get it fixed right away.

Below these instructions find the schedule for the rest of the season, assuming we run into no more problems.

Step 1-  Select New Scheduled Game from the menu

Step 2-  Make sure you have the correct starting pitchers and the correct lineups as well as active players. Also make sure that you have the export stats at the bottom of the screen checked, this is vital!!!!!!!

Step 3- Click on the 'Days Off' button and give each team 15 days of rest so that starters will not be fatigued.

Step 4 -  After the game you will save the boxscore, PAC and scoresheet.

Step 5 -  You will then create a zipfile which you will name with the 3 letter abbreviation for the two teams and the days that the games were scheduled on (for example RED@PAD1~4). In this you will go to the export folder of your game and drag the game files that are there into the zipfile. You will then add the boxscores from each game.

Step 6 -  You will prepare an e-mail to blades99@rochester.rr.com and you will CC the opponent and your league president. In the Subject line you will put the series that was played. In the body of the e-mail you will tell what the result was. Example:  Subject - RED@PAD1~4; Body - Padres win 2 of 3.

The only reason any of these files should be named differently is if you have Win 3.1, in which case let me know and try and abbreviate them so they will make sense.  If they are named wrong I won't even look at the files, I will send them back and ask you to please try them again*, so please just follow these instructions and we'll all be happy :O)

* I will start enforcing this from now on, so make sure that you understand exactly what I'm looking for.
